Why You & Your Business Need a Website

If your business is already on social media, why would you need a website?

There are many benefits to having your own website and I'm going to tell you what they are.

》Analytics

Website analytics are much more in-depth than social media analytics. You can see everything from your visitors’ location, to the devices they use.

》Email address list

You can collect a list of subscribers to your website so that you can email them all directly at the same time. Mailing lists allow you to announce new events, products and services, and share offers and discounts, or send out your latest blog.

》Payment profits

Generally, you'll receive more profits through having your own website as you'll only pay fees on the payment system and not to a third party website that you're selling your products and services through. You're cutting out the middle-man.

》Customer info

You get to keep your customers information automatically through the back-end of your website. This can help in customer service administration, but it will also have the added benefit of seeing how many sales you are making and what your customer trends are.

》Own your own presence

Social media accounts are being deactivated and hacked left, right and centre and you never know when you could lose your account. Having your own website establishes your own Internet presence where not only your customers can find you should your social media account disappear, but you can keep trading outside of any social media issue.

》No censorship

You can really publish whatever you want without censorship from tech giants and trending political agendas.

》Professional image

Some clients and customers will look for a website to establish your professionalism. If you only have a social media presence and no website you may lose out on custom and sales for those seeking your products and services. More than that, not everyone wants to do business through social media. Not everyone has social media and may look straight to a search engine to find what they want. If you have no website, they'll never find you. Which leads to the next point:

》Extra audience

You will expand how clients can find you and also broaden your demographic.

》Design autonomy

You can tailor your website to whatever your needs are and you can add any features you want. You can incorporate images, videos, long-form text and products. You can feature courses, downloads and much more. The sky's the limit!

》Personal pride

Having your own website will allow you more personal pride over your business and make you feel (and be) more legitimate. It's a big check off the list of needs for your business.

》Websites are awesome

I'm personally biased as I love all things websites, but with any company or business I look to work with or purchase from, the first thing I do is look for their website.
